The "Taking Lead" programme is designed to shift this mindset. We start from a simple premise: leadership is an action, not just a position. This programme complements your formal hierarchy by broadening the definition of leadership.

It connects the concept to the personal clarity and courage to step up when a need is identified, empowering individuals to take initiative and drive results from exactly where they are. This isn't about training everyone to be a CEO; it's about investing in the vast, untapped leadership potential you already have within your organisation.

Our goal is to help you create NAKHODAS (captains) throughout your organisation. A Nakhoda, in this sense, isn't just the one person at the helm; they are any individual prepared to take ownership of a situation, guide their peers, and help navigate a challenge. When you cultivate this mindset, you build a more resilient, agile, and proactive culture. You'll stop only waiting for leadership to be assigned and start unleashing it, discovering that your organisation is already full of the leaders you've been looking for.

Upon completing this programme, participants will be able to:

  1. Redefine Leadership: Differentiate between leadership as an action and authority as a position, empowering them to lead from any level of the organisation.

  2. Cultivate Clarity & Courage: Identify and overcome personal and structural barriers to taking initiative, developing the confidence to "step up" when they see a need.

  3. Act with Agency: Recognise everyday opportunities to take the lead and learn to effectively influence positive outcomes, even without formal authority.
